Di Tɛm ɛn Tɔri is an independent project founded and run by Daverose Tholley. If an organisation is set up later to run it, the project moves to that organisation: this page will name it, and these terms carry on as they are.
Di Tɛm ɛn Tɔri is free to read. By using it you agree to these terms. It is a community history project: articles are drafts still being checked, dates and details can be wrong, and nothing here is professional or legal advice. Tell us when we get something wrong and we will fix it.
Archive pictures, film and sound belong to the makers and collections credited under each one. Each carries its own licence (public domain, a Creative Commons licence, or the holder’s terms), shown with a link to the original record. Reuse them under that licence, not ours.
Our own writing and translations are © Daverose Tholley, shared under Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0. Share and adapt them for teaching, research or community use, as long as you credit “Di Tɛm ɛn Tɔri”, link back, and don’t sell them. For publishing, broadcast or any commercial use, write to hello@dt-ets.com.
The design, wordmark, maps and walks are © Daverose Tholley, all rights reserved. Please don’t copy the look of the site or use the name as if you speak for it.
What readers share stays theirs. Don’t reuse it without asking them through us.
Your stories, photos and recordings stay yours. By sharing them you let Di Tɛm ɛn Tɔri (its founder, and any organisation later set up to run the project) edit, shorten and publish them on this site and our social media, credited as you choose. We never sell your work. Using it anywhere else, such as a podcast, radio programme or event, needs your separate agreement first. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
Only share what is yours, or what you have permission to share. Don’t share anything that shows unclothed children, puts someone in danger, shares someone’s contact details or home, or is hateful or untrue. Editors check what comes in and may decline or remove anything.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before you share anything, including a recording of yourself.
Be kind and stay on the subject. We hide comments that are abusive, spam, or could help someone find or contact a person.
If you hold rights to something here, or you or your family appear in it and you want it gone, ask for a take-down. We remove it first and talk after. How we handle your details is on the privacy page.
If these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top.
